How Do You Just Prepare Barracuda To Eat?
You have to catch fresh fish.
Peel the skin from mucus, cut off all the fins, etc. Carefully take out all the insides so as not to crush the bitter gall bladder. Cut into large pieces, separate liver, roe, and head.
For 1.25 kg of fish, you need 3 liters of water + 2 tablespoons of salt. Put it in boiling water following products:
- Carrots 4 pcs
- Onion – 1 pc
- Bay leaf 3 pcs
- Black pepper – 5 pcs
- Pickled cucumber – 2 pcs
The whole cooking process:
- Cook the broth until the carrots are cooked through, about 15-20 minutes
- Add fish to the broth and simmer for another 15 minutes
- Remove all ingredients into a separate bowl and allow to cool
- Sieve broth through a sieve
- Dismantle fish: separate bones and skin from the meat
- Cut carrots into small rings
- Boil 2 hard-boiled eggs and cut them into pieces
- Add slices of pickled cucumber for spiciness
- Put fish, carrots, eggs, and parsley sprigs in a bowl
- In the hot broth add gelatin until completely dissolved. ✅ Important: do not boil
- Pour the broth into the prepared dish with the fish, carrots, herbs, and egg
- Let cool and put in the fridge until ready to serve
- Slice and serve with horseradish or mustard
